Frequently asked questions
Which stone should I get?
Short version: stainless steel if your skin is sensitive or breakout-prone (non-porous, nothing soaks in). White jade if you want the traditional, smoothest glide. Obsidian if you like it cold. Pink crystal if it's a gift. Agate if it's your first one. Every product page has a "Best for" line at the top.
Do the different stones actually do different things?
Honestly — mechanically, they're close. All fifteen are the same shape and weight. What genuinely differs is surface feel (jade is waxier, crystal is glassier), how long they hold cold (steel and obsidian win by a distance), porosity (steel, titanium and obsidian are non-porous), and how they look on your shelf. We're not going to tell you a particular rock has an energy field.
How often should I use it?
Three or four evenings a week, three minutes each time. More is not better. Consistency is the whole thing.
Do I need a facial oil?
Yes, and it's not optional. Without slip the stone drags on your skin, which is uncomfortable and counterproductive. Any facial oil works — squalane, jojoba, rosehip, or a slippery serum.
Will it give me a sharper jawline?
It will not change your bone structure, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. What it does is feel good on a face that's been tense all day, help a serum absorb, and give you three minutes where you're not looking at a screen. Some people notice their face looks less puffy in the morning after evening use. That's a fair expectation; a new jaw is not.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Generally yes, with light pressure and enough oil. Stainless steel is the best pick because it's non-porous. Avoid using it over active breakouts, broken skin, sunburn, rosacea flares, or recent injectables. If you have a diagnosed skin condition or use prescription topicals, check with your doctor or dermatologist first.
Can men use it?
Yes. Obsidian, steel and titanium are the most popular for exactly that reason.
What if it arrives damaged?
Send us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund you — no need to ship it back. Natural stone can chip if you drop it later; steel and titanium are the two that won't.
Will mine look like the photo?
Close, but not identical. These are natural stones and the colour and veining vary piece to piece. That variation is the appeal, not a defect.
How long is delivery?
See our Shipping page for current times. We list them plainly rather than burying them.
Can I return it?
30 days from delivery. Faulty items are refunded or replaced on a photo. Change-of-mind returns need to come back unused, at your postage cost. Full detail on the Returns & Refunds page.
