The problem this solves

Gua sha gives you a real, visible change on the day — but it is drainage, and fluid comes back. You do five minutes a night, you look better each morning, and after a couple of months you notice you have not moved past that ceiling.

That is because you have been working on fluid, not on tone. The thing that holds facial structure is muscle, and nothing manual trains muscle. Microcurrent does.

Why these three together

They operate on different layers, which is exactly why they stack.

The gua sha clears fluid and releases the masseter — the muscle you clench overnight. That is same-day definition and immediate tension relief.

The LiftWave™ prompts gentle contraction in the muscle across the jaw and neck — the area no manual tool reaches properly because it is concave. That is cumulative, appears around week four to six, and is what actually holds.

The oil is required for the gua sha — and specifically must not be used with the LiftWave™, which needs a water-based conductive layer instead. Getting that order right is the single most common mistake people make with microcurrent, and it is why we sell these as a set with instructions.

How to run both

The clean split — easiest to sustain:

1. Morning: cleanse, apply a hyaluronic serum or Hydra Veil™ Hyaluronic Hydrate as your conductive layer, then five minutes with the LiftWave™. Moisturiser after.
2. Night: cleanse, three drops of Glow Oil™, five minutes with the Sculpt™ Gua Sha. Leave the oil on.

Or both in one evening session — gua sha with oil first, cleanse the oil off, then LiftWave™ with conductive gel. More thorough, harder to keep up.

Never use oil under the LiftWave™. Oil is an insulator; the current will not pass and nothing will happen.

What to expect, week by week

• Day one: visible de-puffing from the gua sha and a temporary tightening from the LiftWave™. Photograph your face and your neck from the side.
• Weeks 2–3: jaw definition from masseter release. This is the gua sha working.
• Weeks 4–6: the jaw-to-neck change. This is the microcurrent, and it is the part that stays.
• Week 8: compare to your day-one photograph. Do not rely on the mirror — you look at it too often to notice gradual change.

Before you buy — safety

Do not use the LiftWave™ if you have a pacemaker or implanted electrical device, epilepsy, active cancer, a thyroid condition, or if you are pregnant. Avoid working over dermal fillers within two weeks of treatment. If any of these apply, buy The Glow Starter Ritual instead — it contains no electrical device.

Questions

Do I need a conductive gel as well?
Yes, for the LiftWave™. Any water-based hyaluronic serum works, or add Hydra Veil™ Hyaluronic Hydrate ($16.99) — it doubles as your moisturiser.

Should I start with this or the Glow Starter?
Glow Starter if you have never used a facial tool and want to establish the habit first. This one if you already gua sha and want to move past the drainage ceiling.

Is $49.99 microcurrent too cheap to work?
The mechanism is the same as devices at several times the price. What you give up is finer output control, preset programmes and longer warranties. It is the sensible way to find out whether microcurrent suits you before spending $300.
