Pink Crystal Gua Sha

The one everyone pictures when they think of gua sha. Soft rose pink, semi-translucent at the thin edge, with faint internal cloudiness that catches the light. It is the most photographed stone in the category for a reason — it looks good sitting out, and it is the safe choice if you are buying for someone else.

Best for: the classic look, and the easiest gift.

The three-minute ritual

1. Prep. Clean skin, then a few drops of facial oil or a slippery serum. The stone should glide — if it drags, you need more oil, not more pressure.
2. Sweep. Hold it almost flat against your skin. Work outward from the centre of the face: jaw to ear, cheek to temple, brow to hairline. Three slow passes each side.
3. Finish. Light strokes down the side of the neck toward the collarbone. Rinse, pat dry, done.

Care

Rinse in warm water with a mild soap after each use and dry with a soft cloth. Chill it in the fridge if you like the cold. Natural stone, so expect small variations in colour and veining — yours will not look exactly like the photo, and that is rather the point.
